A midday Wednesday fire that caused an estimated $125,000 damage to a Hawaiian Shores subdivision home is being investigated as possible arson, according to a police log.

A midday Wednesday fire that caused an estimated $125,000 damage to a Hawaiian Shores subdivision home is being investigated as possible arson, according to a police log.

Seven Fire Department units responded to the 11:15 a.m. alarm, with the first unit arriving at the 15-2777 Maiko St. home 10 minutes later. Arriving units found “heavy smoke and flames coming from front of structure,” according to a written Fire Department statement.

There were no reported injuries, and an estimated $50,000 in property value was saved.

Property tax records list the home’s owner as Rick Allen Duvoisin.
